5 Smart Strategies To Assist You Live Your Dreams

It’s a shame.

All your life you have wanted to do one thing.

But you are far from being the person you want to be.

Instead you are that person who seems to wonder aimlessly in life because you believe fate or destiny has dealt you an unfair hand.

You are that person you swore you’ll never be.

You know the person who blames external force for his woes.

Maybe it’s not totally your fault after all society molds us to function in a certain way, squeezing at every turn our individuality.

But you do not have to wonder aimlessly in life because fate or destiny has dealt you an unfair hand.

You can still write your own story if you want to.

It begins with the choices we make.

Destiny is a choice we make.

Take responsibility

As the writer of your own destinations you will need to take time before making choices.

Consider the consequences of your actions.

Be willing to take responsibility for the outcomes be they good or otherwise.

Colossians 3:23-24Amplified Bible (AMP)

23 Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve.

The template of your life is not drawn up and given to you.

You are an active participant whether you make a choice or not to make a choice.

Poverty is not an excuse for long-term failure.

It’s true that you will have to overcome a lot of barriers to get to your destiny but many have gone before you and have succeeded.

The choices of other people make can affect us but ultimately we have still have the free will to choose how we will respond.

Maybe you are about to give up on this thing called life because it does not make sense to you.

Maybe you have worked so hard and have nothing to show for all the effort you have put in.

The truth of the matter is that you need to do some introspection and ask yourself some pertinent questions:

Where Am I and How did I get hear?

Take an honest assessment of where you are in life and how you got there.

Accept that you have come short and that your potential is not being utilized.

If you have failed to make it to your destination do not see the current state as the final position.

Proverbs 24:16-18 Amplified Bible (AMP)

For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,
But the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse.

Do not rejoice and gloat when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad [in self-righteousness] when he stumbles,
Or the Lord will see your gloating and be displeased,
And turn His anger away from your enemy.

But begin to make deliberate moves towards your goal.

An honest assessment assists you to transition from a fatalist state to a take charge mindset.

What do you want to achieve?

Do you have a clearly articulated goal or goals?

You might have an articulate goal but have you taken action to bring it to pass?

The things you want to achieve must not remain a figment of your mind.

You must bring them to life by writing them down and executing the plan.

Proverbs 21:5 Amplified Bible (AMP)

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance and advantage,
But everyone who acts in haste comes surely to poverty.

Don’t dream dreams in your heads without taking steps to make them real.

Because years from now you will be blaming everyone.

“If only I had more time…”

You do not need more time than you already have enough.

Ephesians 5:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)

16 [a]making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.

What you need to do is to learn to effectively use your time.

Even if you were given an extra twenty-four hours, you will achieve nothing without a proper outline of how to use the extra time.

Sit down and consider the cost

It is only a very simple person who does not consider the cost that the endeavor they engage in will cost.

Luke 14:28-31 Amplified Bible (AMP)

28 For which one of you, when he wants to build a watchtower [for his guards], does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to finish it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is unable to finish [the building], all who see it will begin to ridicule him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish!’ 31 Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one who is coming against him with twenty thousand?

This is part of considering the consequences of the choices that you make.

Are you willing to Pay the Real Price?

You have the choice to remain where you are or to change the course of your path.

However, only you can determine the price you will pay for glory.

Every dream has a price.

Will you fork out or determine that the price is too much.

Luke 14:25-27 Amplified Bible (AMP)

25 Now large crowds were going along with Jesus; and He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not [a]hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God]—he cannot be My disciple. 27 Whoever does not carry his own cross[expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow after Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me] cannot be My disciple.

Nothing is written in the stars.

You consciously or unconsciously engage in the act to live your dreams.

It’s Up To You

Remember you are not a puppet.

Tossed to and fro by some vindictive fate.

You are equipped to determine how your story plays out.
